Tom Morris has served on more than 20 leadership boards, committee and advisory groups. He is a past president of the local chapter of the Association of Career Management Professionals International, and for five years chaired the board of directors of the Emeritus Foundation. He has also served as co-chair of Job Connection, a job fair for people with disabilities that involved more than 100 employers and 2000+ participants.

In 2001 he became a Member to the Board of Governors of the Institute for Career Certification International. As a certified Career Management Fellow, Tom is an active member of numerous career development and training organizations including the American Society for Training and Development, Mid-Atlantic Career/Life Planning Network and the National Career Development Association. He has been quoted in national news publications (The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, National Business Employment Weekly), as well as journals and magazines (Career Planning Adult and Development Journal, the Riley Guide, Executive Update, Personnel, Mademoiselle, IT Recruiter and Washingtonian). He also is listed on Careerbuilder.com as one of their human resource experts for advice and articles.

His firm, Morris Associates, Inc., provides executive outplacement and career coaching in addition to corporate training and retreat facilitation. As a result of his dynamic speeches on practical and usable topics, Tom has developed a reputation as a renowned trainer and retreat facilitator.
